Cheap Chic and Luxury Retailing

Neiman Marcus & Target are collaborating to bring together an exquisite and exclusive design collection of holiday merchandise. Launched Saturday (yesterday) and its already sold out at some stores but no fear, both Neiman Marcus and Target are stocking up.

The collaboration will bring together 50 products from 24 prominent designers and will be featured in stores from now until end of December. (I wouldn't wait if I were you to go check it out because everything is going faster than ever!) The 50 products will include everything from suits to dresses to pet accessories and will all be located in one area in both stores.

Doug Stephens, President of Retail Prophet Consulting, elaborated on Target's comment "We are, in essence, the cheap chic outlet for the elite consumer." Target's cheap chic and Neiman's luxury retailing are the perfect combination to bringing together an affordable line of elite products.

Here are some of the pieces that caught my attention:

Marchesa beaded baby doll dress ($100)

Derek Lam Slippers ($50)

Tracy Reese Blouse ($80)

MY FAVORITE ITEM OF THEM ALL.
Brian Atwood Gloves ($50)

LOVE This one too!
Prabal Gurung Cape ($80)
Seen on Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge & Michelle Obama
